Hey Maytag!!!!!!

Hey Maytag! GET OFF YOUR BUTT'S and start listening to your CUSTOMERS!

So, you can tell by now that I'm on one of my warpath's....

Who wouldn't be when they have a family of 6 and a stack of dishes 2 feet high because their dishwasher has a RECALL and good ole MAYTAG's customer service reps have the manners of satan himself!

I probably could have dealt with the broken english, bad connection and hold time of more than 15 minutes IF I would have had a rep who was NOT in desperate need of a half a bottle of Midol..... But noooooooo Miss Nasty Pants just HAD to tick me off.... :)

So listen up Maytag.... I am going to be taking this P.O.S. square box you call a dishwasher and turning it into scrap (which it should have been in the first place) and replacing it with a competitors machine.....

::::::End Rant:::::::: :)

Another fine company gone to pot after a merger. ::sigh:: If you want to buy another machine (and not have to train Lissa to do the dishes by hand :P ), do be careful so you don't end up...right back with the same "extraordinary" ::blech!:: customer service from the same "service-oriented" (are you kidding?) firm...anyway...

The Maytag of the "lonely repairman"and the reliable though expensive to fix appliances? I used to own a washer made by them. Good stuff back then.

But the company that now exists is no longer an independent company. They are now part of the same company that manufactures (or has in the past) major appliances for Sears (Kenmore)--Whirlpool Corporation (acquired Maytag in 2006).

The Maytag website history page...a link to Whirlpool Corp is at the bottom:

If that has happened to Maytag, I suspect that Whirlpool ain't as good a brand as it used to be, either...:( .
