Kelsey's Story

Kelsey was born on December 28th, 2002 and passed away on October 11th, 2005 at the age of 2..... Out of the 34 months she was on this earth atleast 9 of those were spent in hell being abused.... Let me back up and say 9 months have been documented.... I'd be willing to bet there were more.....

I have a very hard time believing that after these NINE months of DOCUMENTED abuse and TWO court hearings that ANY judge in his or her right mind would place this baby back into the hands of the abusers..... but.... one did.... Thus sentencing Kelsey to death......

On October 11th, 2005 she was murdered. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

2 Weeks after Kelsey's death her Step Father was arrested on First Degree Murder and her mother was later charged with 2 felonies of Child Neglect and Enabling Child Abuse....

The case doesn't stop here..... In April of 2006 Lil Kelsey's body was exhumed and a 2nd autopsy was preformed. During this autopsy the coroners discovered something that was "missed". (Sexual Abuse)

How in God's name this could have been missed is beyond me.... But.... It was.....

The Step Father's charges were then amended to include sexual abuse.

On February 2nd 2007 the "system" screwed up again and allowed this MONSTER to plead guilty to a reduced charge of Enabling Child Abuse and received 30 years in prison.

He has no possibility of parole for 25.5 years

BIG flipping deal! (In My Opinion) This MONSTER should have been put to death for this crime...

"Mom"'s trial was in July (2007)and she was found guilty of "enabling child abuse and received 27 years.... Her formal sentencing is on Aug. 23rd.... While being lead away she said " I don't understand I love my baby"......

Uhhhh you loved your baby so much that you allowed a MONSTER to abuse and murder her..... she's damn lucky I wasn't on the jury.....

Now the story even gets SADDER.....

Where was Kelsey's biological father in all of this mess? Well, my friends he was serving his Country and in Iraq....and was JUST returning when his beautiful baby girl was murdered....

Kelsey is now in the arms of angels, and finally at peace..... But there are THOUSANDS of children that suffer abuse on a daily basis.....

The latest statistics show that during the fiscal year of 2005 over 6 million cases of abuse were reported in the United States alone..... 30% of the reported 6 million were substantiated abuse cases..... The rest were not..... Did some fall through the cracks? You bet your arss they did!

How we as a country...... Hell as HUMAN BEINGS can allow this to happen to our children is beyond me......

Penalties need to be stiffer and these monsters that abuse children should be put to death......

The (hope) of rehabilitating someone who has physically, sexually, or even mentally abused a CHILD is close to impossible.... (IN MY OPINION) Why in the world do we want to burden tax payers with paying to keep this kind of person alive.....

Think I'm wrong? Look at Kelsey again and think about the pain she suffered through........
