Munchkinangelo's

Sooooo I have 3 munchkins that would win any "Messiest Munchkin of the Year" contest if there were such a thing..... (Thank God my oldest is a clean freak) :)

Anyway, back to my 3 Picasso's........ Chlo and Logan have a love for Art... This love extends to walls, windows, tables, and their latest masterpiece is the playroom sofa.... :sigh:

Elissa (my oldest) DID go through this stage so I am *hoping* these other three lil artists will decide that a canvas, paper, or ANYTHING other than walls, furniture, windows & mirrors is just not appropriate....

I've TRIED to explain this to them and my 6 year old (Chloey's) reply was "But mom what about that man that painted pictures on the ceiling" (This is what I get for having a teenager in the house who is studying Michelangelo.... :sigh:

Now, Tyler is not free of guilt in this whole mess.... He (most) of the time prefers to tinker around with building things and (technical) schtuff.... BUT he did decide to join in on their recent adventure and added his special touches to the sofa with my mascara.... (Lovely eh?)

Sooooooo I've taken back control of my lil artists and removed all pens, pencils, markers, paint, makeup, ANYTHING these lil boogers could use to "create" their works of art.... I've decided that once a day we will sit down TOGETHER and have "art" time.....

Now, what to do about their creations! :shrug:

Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser is a God send..... I LOVE this thing!!!!!! Now, that the playroom walls have been cleaned of munchkinangelo's artwork it's time to paint...

So hubby and I go off to home depot.... (Which should be a blog all by itself) LoL After about an hour of debating *what* color the room should be...... I pull out a *win* and get the color I want..... (chocolate brown) I think it had something to do with this statement....

"If you want to paint that room a lighter color I would be prepared to spend about 2 hours a week scrubbing the walls" Hubby caved within seconds of that statement...

Now, I never really have cared for the carpet in that room and it definitly won't match the new wall color so while we were at HD I took a journey over to the "clearance" aisle and found a GORGEOUS remnant that was on clearance.... This was REALLY a blessing because remnant's there are scarce, let alone something that you really like and that will MATCH what your doing...... I look at the price (120.00) and think WOW great deal for a piece that's 12x14 (EXACT size we need) so I have the girl mark it as sold and go to pay for it.....

This is where it gets even better..... LOL The carpet rings up for SIXTY... yup $60.00 BUCKS! I about fell OVER!

All in all? I'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!! I'll poste before and after pics when the room is finished.....
